The Coupole Classic Automatic takes the design of a traditional wristwatch and adds the distinctive Rado element of sapphire crystal, ensuring brilliant shine, easy readability and ultimate protection for the beautiful dials.
An original look from 1962 is brought to life in a new and improved form for the twenty-first century. With vintage details and styling true to the original, and up-to-date features that make it a match for modern wearers, Captain Cook is a watch designed to stand the test of time. The new 42 mm Captain Cook is water-resistant to 30 bar (300m) and has already proved a hit with contemporary watch wearers and modern explorers.
The Captain Cook Chronograph wears a characteristic box-shaped, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both faces. The thin, stylish 43 mm stainless steel case features a polished blue high-tech ceramic inlay on the bezel, complementing the silver-to-blue gradient dial. The numbers, markers and triangles are treated with Super-LumiNova®. Inside, the new, thinner R801 automatic movement, with 37 jewels, five hands and 59 hours of power reserve thanks to an antimagnetic Nivachron™ hairspring, exceeds standard test requirements from 3 to 5 positions for higher accuracy. The model comes with a polished and brushed stainless steel bracelet, as well as a blue leather strap and an additional fabric strap in deep blue.
